I can't imagine,” she began slowly, “not only the physicality, but the mental willpower needed to control such an object inside of the body. Any wrong movement could lead to disaster. Which it did. With that kind of pressure, it's no wonder our patient passed out…and when he hit the ground, the precarious frailty never stood a chance…”
Trinity felt a smug grin stretch across her face. Before she could stop herself, four dangerous words left her lips. “I could've taken it.”
Mel had long been accustomed to Trinity’s shenanigans by now, but the comment seemed to take her a second to process. She blinked. “Pardon?”
“I said…” Trinity instantly knew she had to double down—what other choice did she have? “I could've taken it.”

It's your first week at Slough House, and you have the misfortune to share an office with Shirley Dander, a volatile woman who is coked out of her mind half of the time and lashing out ruthlessly at you and the world the other half. One night, you realize you forgot your keys in your office and are forced to return to get them—but what you discover Shirley doing lands you in much worse a predicament than simply being locked out of home.

Summary
In contrast with his reserved, quiet outer shell, John Linnell loved to yell. It was a habit especially prevalent in live performances, during which he would often strongly belt the lyrics or just straight-up scream into the mic: a cathartic, iconic gutting of the vocal chords.
This quirk transferred directly to sex, as discovered by John Flansburgh.
IOW: Linnell gets loud during sex. Flans feels bad for always having to shush him, so he books a sound-proof hotel room one night on tour.
