Summary
He fingers the glass vial in his pocket. Contemplates the half-empty bottle left carelessly beside his partner’s haphazard pile of street clothes – some sort of lurid, neon-colored energy drink; carbonated, with a strong taste of its own – and makes his decision.
It’s for Jesse’s own good.
(He tells himself this, and believes it. It’s the truth.)
And what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
--
An alternate take on the plot of S4, starting from Shotgun/Cornered. Rather than trying to poison Gus, Walt takes a different sort of drastic action to maintain his hold on Jesse.

Summary
For all the ugliness of what he sees in front of him – of all the unintended harm their work has done to Jesse’s far more innocent soul; the metric ton of collateral damage he’s racking up on his karmic balance sheet – there’s a small, vindictive part of him that’s glad to know for certain where he stands.
He’s not proud of this. But that doesn’t make it any less true.

The first time it happens, he’s ashamed of himself for being so utterly, stupidly caught off-guard.

Summary
His first inkling of what “getting older” really means – not in a distant, theoretical sense, but as something tangibly matter of fact; something he can feel, in everything from his bones to the tingling-numb tips of his fingers – comes more gently than he might have expected.

Summary
This is the God’s honest truth, though Otacon will be the first to admit its appearance is perhaps just a bit suggestive of other priorities: the suit was designed, first and foremost, with functionality in mind.

Summary
Their roles should be reversed, Walt thinks. At least in terms of sleep. Walt’s body, infested with cancer, should protest all his running around with overwhelming fatigue and malaise, while Jesse, only a few years into adulthood, should be brimming with energy.
Instead, Walt spends the morning wiping down the El Camino and scraping off the VIN, removing the plates, then abandoning it on a dead-end street lined with cars in various forms of disrepair next to a junk yard, in hopes of slowing its discovery and ties to them.
A little cash and his watch buys a beater with no radio, but it’s inconspicuous, safe. No red flags. A little more buys him breakfast to go.
When he gets back to the motel, Jesse’s still asleep.

Summary
"“I mean Mr. White and I, we were a team, then, though. Like, he was all, ‘You kill Jesse, I’ll never cook for you again.’
But it was all an act. He never cared about anything or anyone beyond what he wanted.”
Hank privately disagrees. Walter was neglecting his flesh-and-blood son at home, his perfect teenage boy, to play father to some random junkie loser who hasn’t grown up.
Hank studies Jesse. What is it about this kid, that puts a target on his forehead for greedy men?
Hank sees his own hypocrisy, though. He’s old enough to know this tape ain’t anybody’s idea of a safe, good plan that ends with Jesse making it out alive.
He doesn’t really care. Walter kills Jesse now, it’ll just be more ammunition."

Summary
“C’mon, do it,” Jesse whined as he tilted his hips.
Walt ran his hands along Jesse’s thighs. “I don’t know what to do,” he was forced to admit.
“Uh, you stick it in?” Walt could almost hear him rolling his eyes. “Didn’t you like, father children?”
“That’s not what I meant,” Walt snapped back. “I don’t want to hurt you,” he added more quietly.
Jesse stared up at him. It was too dark for Walt to make out his expression, especially without his glasses. “Since when have you cared about that?”
Walt agrees to let Jesse stay with him after rehab, but he’s caught off guard when Jesse moves from the couch to his bed.
