Summary
“Detectives. This is Perseus Jackson, the new detective.” The captain said, his voice the same as normal, but seeming much deeper and almost booming. That's probably just the way anyone sounds when they say ‘Perseus Jackson’.

Summary
Gaze wandering to the P-51 once again, drawn to the little plane like a moth to a flame. Pacing around it, putting a hand on it’s side.
“Well, aren’t you the prettiest damn thing, sweetheart?”
Because who was to know that Pete had started talking to the planes because Goose did? Emulating his brother in all but blood, taking confidence in a somewhat odd habit through the ensuing years.
Not noticing the tacky red fingerprints he left on the yellow paint as he hummed a nameless tune, pacing the plane’s perimeter, gauging what whoever owned the plane was up to. Peering into the opened belly of the plane to see the parts missing from the engine, standing on his tiptoes to see from another angle.
Only to be startled by the sound of something shattering behind him.

Summary
“You were gone a long time,” Aaron said. His hand had fallen from Daryl’s hair when their embrace ended, but it came to rest on Daryl’s shoulder instead, firm and grounding.
Daryl cleared his throat again, but his voice was still too thick with emotion when said, “I was lookin’ for somethin’.”
“You didn’t find it.” It was an observation, not a question. Aaron had always been a little too perceptive, especially where Daryl was concerned. Few people had ever looked at him and really seen him. Not a one of them had managed that feat with such astuteness so quickly as Aaron.
“Nah,” Daryl said, the sound rasping out him, rough and gritty as salt on the waves he’d nearly drowned in. He licked his lips, and he was almost convinced he could still taste the seawater there. “Went lookin’ for one thing, found somethin’ else instead.”
