Summary
Things don't always run smoothly, in the early days after they leave Genna. Currently, the thing that isn't running smoothly is the lower half of Thia's body. Dek finds her dragging herself along a corridor of the ship and crosses his arms, staring silently down at her.
“Oh, hi! I'm just – don't mind me,” Thia says brightly. “This shouldn't last long. My legs just went out – can you believe it?”
“Yes,” Dek says flatly.
Or, Thia's having some reconnection problems after being torn in half and hastily put back together. Dek helps her out, and together they discover something neither of them expected. (Takes place after The Pack Survives.)

Summary
Thia isn't expecting to see Dek when she walks through the ship's passageway, but here he is, with a very odd look on his face. She's had to do some quick work with her own coding, re-calibrating her emotional center to include reactions to Yautja expressions, and then building a library of Yautja expressions and their meanings once she realizes that there is no database to refer to. It's really more of a library of Dek's expressions and their meanings, since he's the only one she's got to reference, but it's better than nothing.
This, however, is a new one. She quickly catalogs it as “discouraged/resigned/grieving/tired” and files it away in an “unfinished” folder for later interpretation.
“Dek?” she asks. “What's wrong?”
“I can't {unintelligible} reach,” he says, and Thia blinks.

Summary
These past months on Genna have proved fruitful in terms of Dek’s training regime and the assembling of a new ship for their little ‘clan’. She is not lacking in tasks. And Dek and Bud are such wonderful companions. She’s not bored or dissatisfied. Just curious.
