Adam doesn’t mean to write reports that are long form food reviews; it’s really not his fault that various gangsters, terrorists, and assorted corrupt public figures happen to lead him to the best food spots in the city (even if they somehow only choose the worst thing on the menu). Tormenting the bunker with delicious smells is just a fun hobby, he totally has those Alex, this is absolutely a real hobby.
Jim Miller would very much like his agent to write actual reports, not love poetry to food. It’s distracting him from dealing with the corruption threatening his agents. He's definitely not worried that the barista that makes the single most perfect coffee he's ever had is going to turn out to be a terrorist. Definitely. Totally. Not in the least.
Bob Page would very much like to know how Adam is two people at once and why he’s surrounded by incompetents who keep failing to poison one (1) augmented food critic.

His Hutt-slow mind dredged up the memory of Jasten, his face and Force presence exuding contentment and satisfaction as they lay curled together in his apartment. He reached for the Force, to let it purge the drugs that clouded his mind but it was like there was a transparisteel wall between him and it. He was beginning to feel the first stirrings of panic when his attempts to clear his foggy mind were interrupted by the sound of footsteps, thunderous to his aching skull and dragging a moan of pain from his lips.
"I know you're awake, dear one. Time to open those pretty eyes for me".

And then Chuck—who isn't dead, because he's protected and a prophet and whatever—untangles the last whole piece of Castiel still left on earth from his still-tacky-with-viscera hair, and Dean doesn't think, just eases the bloody molar from between his fingers and shoves it in his pocket so Chuck will stop looking at it, so Dean will stop thinking about it, and Sam will stop looking at him like a kicked puppy, like a kid who still wants Dean to give him answers Dean doesn't have.

Summary
Twelve days on the road leaves Dean wound tight, lonely, and half out of his mind. The hunt is easy; the silence after is not. With no Sam beside him and no Cas to patch him up, he ends up alone in a shitty Nebraska motel with too many memories and too much need.
Cas’s texts don’t help.
The last one “I miss you, Dean” nearly breaks him.
Dean tries to be good. He really does. Forty three minutes of pretending he isn’t hard for the one person he’s not supposed to want. Then he gives in.
And the moment Dean whispers Cas’s name, Heaven answers.
What begins as Dean’s desperate, lonely night turns into something far more dangerous, tender, filthy, and impossible to ignore. Cas is done pretending. Dean can’t hide anymore. And nothing between them will ever be the same after this.
