Summary
Jaime, an enslaved mage, is tired of killing werewolves. It seems Eskender, Jaime's master, is also getting tired of him. Jaime has roughly 48 hours to bring down this whole werewolf-killing operation (preferably with himself inside) before Eskender can get wise and kill him early.
Dmitri, one of the wolves captured by Eskender and his crew, just wants to go home, and he doesn't care who he has to shred through to make that happen, especially the mage who seems to be the key to everything.
Mostly everyone wants Jaime dead. Maybe Jaime just needs to give a little push to make everything happen.
(Not as dark as I'm making it sound)
Edit: Originally claimed this wasn't mercyfic or Enemy to Caretaker, re-plotted it and that isn't the case any longer. Tags have been added, payoff won't be for a chapter or two

Summary
Asher was terrified. But that was ordinary, and the emotion was easily pushed to the back of his mind. Probably he was in trouble. Maybe he had even done something to deserve it — that would explain the guilt, that panicky, squirmy feeling running up his spine. He was already hurt, too, which always seemed to mean more was to come. Not that it made any difference.
There was no point worrying, sobbing and trying to get away and begging like a stupid baby or a feral from the woods. It never did any good, just made the beating worse. No, Asher was a good pup, he was obedient: he kept his head down and his voice to a whisper; and when he was thinking of doing something really stupid, like taking his siblings and running as far as he could, he made sure before he did it that there was absolutely no chance they'd get caught.
Two old soldiers find a hurt runaway on their land, concussed, confused, and terrified for his siblings. They hatch a plan to rescue the others, and begin to build an odd kind of pack, all while badly out of their depth.

They weren’t killing him. Oh. They thought…Elsie was beating him when they walked in. They thought…he didn’t know what they thought. Did they think he was a victim? That he was on their side?
His sister’s warning played on loop in his head. If he spoke, they’d kill him. Understanding flooded him as the person carrying him whispered more jagged words—meaningful to the other invaders, but gibberish to him. If they heard him speak their enemy’s language, he was dead.

“You wanna come with me?” Jason asked. “I’ve got some furs back at camp. You can get warm.”
That should have been the moment Tim ran. He should have said no. He should have asked a thousand questions.
He nodded.
Jason stood up and offered a hand. Tim took it. It was warmer than he expected, and calloused. Jason didn’t pull, just steadied him while he scrambled out from the rocks.
“Keep close,” Jason said. “I don’t want you getting lost.”
Or: the one where werewolf Jason finds weak, helpless, human Tim in the woods and decides to follow in his father's footsteps.

Summary
Kicked out of his birth pack for being barren, a feral omega finds himself a lone wolf. After he wonders too far into human territory, he's picked up by a pack that embraces their ability to shift between human and wolf. Unfortunately, all efforts to communicate fail, because our feral omega never learned human language.
That doesn't deter the do-gooder shifter pack, who make it their mission to help the ostracized wolf.
