Bucky's dog tags were folded in the crease of the paper he'd torn from his journal, reading: "Steve, here. You have them, if you want them. You have me, if you want me. I’ve never tried loving a man before but for you I’ve run headfirst into wars and Death’s wide, gaping jaws, so this is easy in comparison. This is like breathing."
It was so dark when Bucky handed him the note, the fire just burning out, and he glanced back only once to see Steve watching him as he walked away.

SHIELD has fallen and the Winter Soldier is in the wind, and far more formidable than anybody thought.
Not only is he staying hidden from all the world’s intelligence agencies (how), but he’s doing so while modeling for fashion magazines (what), posting videos about himself (why), gaining an internet following that absolutely includes Clint (and to his regret, Sam), and punching a whole lot of Nazis (in the face. with bullets).
Steve is absolutely supportive, much to everyone else’s concern.

Water trickled delicately from his nose, dribbled over shrivelled lips. He jerked reflexively, throat cracking free from frost. He tried to gulp, tried to swallow, tried to snatch at air.
