Summary
Ser Duncan has never been good at staying out of trouble, not with Arlan, nor in what came after the man's death. His stop at Ashford was only meant to be a brief visit, to see some old faces and continue on his way.
But Ashford is rife with knights, princes, and tempers ill-suited to peace, and Dunk soon finds himself caught between them - old ties strained by grief they cannot bear to set aside, and new faces whose curiosity threatens to upset what little balance remains.

I read this for the first time few hours ago and had to come back and reread it because the premise is so fucking good and I cannot stop thinking about it. I'm a huge fan of basically any akotsk AU but especially anything where Dunk grows up differently than canon (sorry Ser Arlan).

“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
