Gleaming, neon purple venom of some sort dripped from its mouth, landing on the ground around them. Some landed on a leaf. Sizzling and popping, the leaf shriveled up. Tommy swallowed nervously, watched the wisp of smoke swirling up into the air. Shaking its head, the Enderman leered over him. Glowing purple eyes stared down at Tommy, holding his gaze.
Tommy blinked. Squeezing his eyes shut and shaking, he tore his gaze away.

Summary
When the Cat reaches the Outside, their journey isn't over. They remember their siblings, their desperate calls down into the ravine filled with trash, and know that somewhere, their litter is waiting for them.
When the Cat reaches the Outside, it reveals the hole that was left when the Outsiders scattered. While hurt can be mended, the scar remains, and years apart has changed them all in one way or another.
