Summary
Change is hard. People, creatures, places, and relationships prefer to remain in stasis. Sometimes change only comes as the result of a catalyst–one that will alter the course of two lives forever.
To keep Dean placid, Michael pretends Dean successfully ejected him, placing Dean in a dream world. While Michael is wreaking havoc, Dean blissfully slumbers in a world with hunts and monsters, but also with Castiel as his loving boyfriend. Dean wakes from this fantasy to find his loved ones bruised and battered by his hands, but still willing to destroy themselves saving him.
Months after Michael is forced back into the cage, Sam insists on a vacation. Dean, Castiel, Sam, and Jack head to the Ozarks to try to relax and also reconnect with each other. While there, Dean falls under a witch’s spell and the results are explosive!
