Mira just stares at her for a few long moments, “ Are you sure? Because this isn’t something you can just jump into and then decide to back out. I have a support system, I have people who are already willing to do this all with me. So I don’t want you doing this out of some weird guilt or sense of responsibility. If you are doing this I want it to be because you are choosing it, choosing them.” Her hand comes to rest on her stomach at the last few words.
“I want this. I want them.” She reiterates. “I’ll show up over and over again until you believe that too.” Her hand gently carrasses the photo again. “This is our kid, our little 1.6 miracle.”
“Okay.” Mira whispers, eyes locked on the ultrasound before looking up at Rumi again. “So how do we do this?”
“I figured we’d get married at the courthouse maybe Saturday if you are free-”

Summary
The memory rises unbidden: the clash of bodies, the way Rumi had aimed a blow at her torso. Mira dodging— barely— only allowing Rumi to graze her side.
“And what’s your name?” Rumi had asked mid-fight, breath steady, smirk radiant.
“Like I’d tell—”
Rumi had leapt back then, sudden and theatrical, leaving space between them. Mira had paused, wary, unsure what game she was playing.
Then Rumi had flourished Mira’s ID, plucked from her pocket without her noticing.
“Kang Mira, Interpol,” she’d read aloud, slow and condescending, like she was talking to a kindergartener. “Woah. The big guns are after me now.”
“How’d you—?”
“Picked your pocket just now,” Rumi had continued, eyes flicking up to meet hers. “Pretty name for a pretty face.”
“Damn,” Zoey’s voice had crackled in Mira’s earpiece. “She’s good. And hot.”
“Stop that,” Mira had snapped— both at the nagging voice in her head and at the nagging voice ahead of her.

Mira and Zoey are the Interpol agents assigned to the Ryu Rumi case, a globally renowned superthief. But the closer Mira gets, the more she begins to notice the quieter ways the case is beginning to take things from her.

The Honmoon was sealed. That was still a hard thing to believe. It had been so long, so many generations of hunters had tried, and they were able to actually do it. They wrapped the tour, wrapped the interviews and fan-signings and meet ups, and officially started on a long-awaited hiatus.

Rumi expects Zoey to laugh, or to tease her more, or maybe even praise her for her excellent commitment to the bit. The gravitas had been right up Zoey's alley! Instead, Zoey remains silent and motionless, save for a very quiet squeak. Her entire face is red. That's weird.

Summary
Rumi always thought the shame and pain she felt was just a demon thing, but maybe there was more to it.
A few weeks had passed since the events at the Idol awards. The fans were happy, the honeymoon was fixed, Rumi was dating the loves of her life, and she was finally getting the hang of this whole self-acceptance thing.
Well until she wasn’t. As with all repressed feelings, they tend to come back and attack with a vengeance when you least expect it. With the stress of saving the world and hiding a life altering secret lifted, Rumi now has the emotional capacity to have a long awaited gender identity crisis.
Edit: rating was changed and may continue to change as we go...I may decide to make this story a little spicy.
