Summary
When a world ends, it and it's inhabitants shall be born anew. As the world of the Old Faith came to an end, the Lamb and Narinder swore they would find each other again in the next world.
In this new world, they no longer have their memories or powers. All Lambert knows is that they managed to get themself involved with the mob, but at least their new boss is rather attractive.
Story is mostly done. I just need motivation to expand on some areas.

“It’s… It’s getting late,” they noticed.
“Oh, so catcalling is allowed after dark?”

Two years after leaving prison, Narinder gets in touch with Ratau about testifying against his siblings. The deal is simple: reopening his case in exchange for keeping a roof above an officer's head during the investigation.

Summary
Narinder had once loved his siblings and yet they had betrayed him, had chained him, had abandoned him. Then he had put his faith in the Lamb, believing they would free him at last, and again he was betrayed. Perhaps these were just the consequences of his own actions, but even so, now he is enslaved, made mortal, and he must find a way to live when all he has ever known is death.

As the God of Death Present, The Lamb had to deal with this discrepancy.
Of course, the true reason they acted was not to fulfill their role or appease some unknown entity.
It was to provide their beloved some closure.
