“Couldn’t find the booze this time, eh Dismas? I made sure to hide it real good this time.” Though there was no slight back at her this time. Dismas, with a haunted face, could not muster any bite towards her. His time of The Hamlet, once vague images, now played out like a lifetime in his mind. Hauling herself out of the chair, she sauntered her way over to Dismas to check up on the supposed loot he found. “I didn’t know you were the antique-collecting type of guy. With some polish, I figure it’d be worth a pretty penny.” Dismas swallowed before speaking once more.
“It’s Reynauld’s,” his voice almost a whisper. The plague doctor finally looked up from her jar and set down her tools; her leeches could wait. “He’s… I have to give his helmet back. He needs it back.”

It took Death’s whistle for the orange tabby to register that Death was sitting right next to him, leaning against the wall he propped himself up on.
“Ah, I was wondering when you’d show up,” the rogue joked. Despite his light tone, he was cradling his side as it was bleeding. A large piece of shrapnel had embedded itself into the side of his abdomen. He held tightly onto it, keeping it from digging further or shaking loose. Death could see the cat was shaking. “I guess this means this is it, isn’t it? This is the day you take my last life.”or
