They stand there for a few seconds, facing one another. Eddie doesn’t know what to say, well he knows what he could say, he just doesn’t know if he wants to say it.

Summary
After Sam officially becomes Captain America an unexpected consequence is the growing number of boring events he has to attend. But once Bucky decides to accompany him, those annoying parties become much more enjoyable (even if Sam thinks Bucky’s choice of clothing is less than ideal). In between those parties, they realize a couple of things, mainly that they do not want each other like best friends.
Based on the song Dress by Taylor Swift.
UPDATE (09/10/2021): this has not been abandoned, I'm having a health issue and haven't been able to write in the last two weeks. I'll finish this when things are better.

Summary
As much as he’s tried to shut it down, Buck can’t deny that Tommy had cracked the seal on a certain question. One that Buck hasn’t stopped thinking about ever since.
And no, let the record show that it is not whether he’s in love with Eddie, even if everyone seems to be dying for that to be the case. That’s a patently ridiculous suggestion that holds absolutely no water, and has not a single shred of evidence to back it up. It’s not worth thinking about for even a second. No matter what everyone says.
No, the question at hand is obvious. Could Eddie, possibly, maybe, conceivably not be straight?

“Speak of the devil!” he grins. “Chris, come here, I was just telling Buck about today.”
Buck looks the same, when Christopher can finally see him on the small screen, except his hair is kind of curly now. He’s sitting in their old kitchen, and Christopher is as happy to see him as he’s suddenly homesick.
“Christopher!” he shouts, big smile on his face, and then he kind of grimaces a little and starts tearing up. He wipes his eyes and laughs shakily. “Sorry, I– I just really missed you, kid.”
“I missed you too, Buck,” Chris admits, and he’s only crying because Buck is, it’s whatever.
Dad puts an arm around him, and in their little frame on the FaceTime call, Chris can see that his eyes are suspiciously shiny, too.

“Not that I’m in love with you,” Eddie clarifies. It rings in Buck’s ears for a second: I’m in love with you, in Eddie’s voice, thin and distant through the phone but unmistakably him. “But that I was, I don’t know. Competing with him for your attention.”
“You weren’t,” Buck says automatically. “Were you?”
There’s a beat of silence on Eddie’s end.
"I mean," Eddie starts.

Raphael’s trying his best not to be nosy, but his eyes land on Eddie’s screen anyway, and he huffs out a quiet laugh. “My wife sends me stuff like that, too. I don’t know where she finds it.”
“If she’s anything like Buck, she’s got the oddity section on AP News bookmarked.”
Eddie’s card makes a soft little beep as he taps it against the machine, and Raphael smiles at him as he tears the receipt off and hands it over. “How long have y’all been together?”
