    Another transfer student. As with previous transfers, there was a buzz around the classroom. Even a near-fatal event from two weeks ago was superseded by this new gossip. Once again, there was no hope of a student who even approached normality. Another teenager with a unique trait which will just allow them to irritate Saiki in a new way.

    This time, however, Saiki knew who to expect. This did not lead him to think that the situation was any less strange or desirable.

    The boy heard people's thoughts in the hall noting the new student’s unusual appearance.

    He entered the room and was prompted to introduce himself. He pulled out a homemade mechanical chalk pencil.

    "My name is Saiki Kusuke," he said.

    Kronos was a sore loser.

    When most people lost a fight, they sulked for a bit, maybe burst into golden monster dust if you were particularly lucky, or just started trying to kill you again if you weren’t.

    They did not, in Percy’s (quite considerable, he likes to think) experience, start glowing so brightly that it felt like your retinas would never recover before knocking you sound unconscious.

    OR

    (When you're thrown back in time after defeating Kronos only to have to defeat Kronos for the second time. Percy's life is kind of a cosmic joke.)
