Summary
There had to be nearly a hundred pictures from their wedding day, from their life as a married couple, all put away underneath his old bed here at Mr. Miyagi’s house. The kids never went through anything in the house, they respected Mr. Miyagi’s memory too much to even try.
“Is what Johnny said true? Were you married to that woman?” Sam demanded, a fire in her eyes as she stared him down.
Daniel glanced over his daughter's shoulder, where Johnny and some of the kids stood back. Johnny grimaced and mouthed an apology. Lot of good that did! As though to make matters worse, Anthony popped out from inside the house, eyebrows furrowed as he asked, “Whoa, what’s going on?”
“Dad apparently has a secret wife!” Sam accused with a wave of her arm.
“Okay, okay, whoa, no.” Daniel shook his head and moved his arms in an x-motion, glancing at both his kids. “Look, we used to be—fuck. Why don’t we talk somewhere private, yeah, sound good?”
Sam crossed her arms and glanced back at her friends. “Why? They’ll just find out or listen in anyway. There’s no point. Just tell me the truth. Please.”
With a final glance at Johnny, Daniel sighed and relented.

Her fingers rubbed at the edges of the letter in her hands.
She wiped at the bile at the edge of her lips. Enid had thrown up—a mess of water and acid and bits of food that she regreted to see leave her the moment it did—and had covered it up with dirt until it was nothing more than an odd clump of solidified dirt. It reminded her of being a kid; once, she had puked at school and cleaned herself up with a piece of construction paper and hadn’t said a word to anybody. Gone about her day. Normal. Always normal.
She had been feeling sick a lot lately. Light-headed.
She kept thinking of that night, that single night.

Ayla muttered to herself, “mawey, mawey, mawey.” She pressed her hands against her face. The metal around her rattled. The air was stale and odd. The trees were so far away. She felt so cold.

All she had thought of the demons, of the Sky People, was that they were odd, simple little creatures. They made their bright tents that they slept in and stomped about the forest to dig about. They were clumsy and all-together not very bright. They were so small. So small they felt more like children than anything else.

Summary
Pandora. The mere thought, the word, caused excitement to shiver down Grace’s spine. As the company to discover the planet of Pandora, the RDA literally had lawful dibs on the place. It only made sense that the man who ran the company had models of the distant world’s plants. And, as Grace continued on, she saw that there was also a sizable model of a being from Pandora.
The model was large and in a crouched position between the fake foliage. She had seen some photos of Pandorans in a documentary, though the RDA had been rather tight-lipped on much of anything about the planet. She knew they had to be big, though she wondered if this model was size accurate. Though it was crouched it seemed to be around nine feet tall. The head was massive and the hands of the Pandoran made Grace feel absolutely spritely despite being nearly six feet tall. The blue skin was bright and the model’s yellow eyes seemed—haunted.
Grace swallowed and forced herself forward.

Thorin's glare was redirected to him. "Is it so absurd to imagine me with a spouse?" His voice was bitter.
Jealousy curdled in Bilbo's gut. It was not absurd, Bilbo had imagined it countless times, but with him as Thorin's husband. However, he couldn't say that, could he? It was obvious Thorin was looking for something, someone, else.

Summary
A classic Hobbit fix-it fic where everyone lives.
After surviving the journey, and then the dragon, and then the battle, Bilbo is faced with his most difficult challenge yet: getting that stubborn dwarf king Thorin Oakenshield to speak to him. Thorin nearly died in Bilbo's arms, but now it seems that the new king feels exactly the same about him as he did on the ramparts.
Meanwhile, Thorin can't bring himself to face the poor hobbit he has so terribly mistreated. He can't bear to look into the eyes of the only one he will ever love and know that Bilbo will never forgive him for what he has done.
