Claire thinks a more appt description would be to say Leon was Ada’s pet agent, but she doesn't bother saying it out loud. It isn't like it would take Carlos much to figure that out anyway.OR

Impulsive as he’d always been, Leon followed the beat of his heart and reached out to lift the thin fabric of her tank top, just enough to reveal the old scar she carried there. He touched it with his fingers, his mind astray in a destroyed city and a girl who told him that she fell in love with him. Any man in his position… any man with a fucking functional brain would stay away from women like her, would have enough of her lies and her sweet tongue that poisoned his wildest dreams worse than any virus out there. He was a fool.
But he loved her.
That much was true. He knew it now.
Or: Leon and Ada figuring out their feelings throughout the years, realizing this is more than just a maddening obsession. He fell first, she fell harder.
