It's been 25 years since the war, the forces of darkness have been defeated. Salem and her followers are dead. But 16 years ago Ruby Rose, the hero of Remnant, vanished without a trace. For years, people searched for her far and wide, but there was no trace of her anywhere. And as the years marched on? The world mourned her, built monuments in her honour, and moved on.
Today? Even her own family has stopped looking for her, only Weiss Schnee still searches. But even she has run dry on leads, the very thinnest of threads exhausted. She has no clues anymore, until the best one in decades finds itself in her office.

Summary
Weiss was sick of her father trying to barter her future for profit. Leaving the protection of the city was a death sentence, but honestly that was preferable to the slow death she'd suffer staying home.
She certainly wasn't expecting an angel to fall from the heavens and slay the monsters that had plagued humanity in front of her.
And she really wasn't expecting them to know who she was, or to look at her with such care in her eyes.

But when a version of Maria in the prime of her life drops out of nowhere the team realize they may have screwed up. Now Ruby has to deal with a younger, taller and hotter version of her mentor, to help her settle in their time.
Just one problem, Maria clearly has the hots for her.
Another problem, Ruby is already in a relationship with Weiss.
