For years, people searched for her far and wide, but there was no trace of her anywhere. And as the years marched on? The world mourned her, built monuments in her honour, and moved on.
Today? Even her own family has stopped looking for her, only Weiss Schnee still searches. But even she has run dry on leads, the very thinnest of threads exhausted. She has no clues anymore, until the best one in decades finds itself in her office.

Weiss was sick of her father trying to barter her future for profit. Leaving the protection of the city was a death sentence, but honestly that was preferable to the slow death she'd suffer staying home.
She certainly wasn't expecting an angel to fall from the heavens and slay the monsters that had plagued humanity in front of her.
And she really wasn't expecting them to know who she was, or to look at her with such care in her eyes.

Summary
If you asked the average citizen of Remnant to describe Ruby Rose, they’d tell you she was a hero. That she was the woman who united the world, a champion of the people, a final beacon of light in a storm without end, the rallying cry that stirred hope when all seemed lost. She was everything a Huntress should be, and so much more than that.
If you asked Weiss Schnee what she believed, she’d tell you much the same, but in further detail. Ruby Rose was beautiful beyond all compare, kind beyond all measure, compassionate to a fault, and more troubled than anyone outside her team would ever know. But above all else, despite the suffering and aggression the world had thrown her way, Ruby Rose was strong enough to be gentle.
After a taxing mission escorting refugees to Vacuo stirs up traumatic memories in the tired Huntress, Weiss takes it upon herself to ensure her leader knows she isn’t alone. She won’t sit idly by and let her crumble. Not again.
It was time Weiss stopped running from her feelings, and long past time Ruby felt a gentle touch.

Of all the semblances Weiss could’ve had, of course she got the one that made her look crazy. She could see ghosts. She became the laughing stock of the Schnee family and ended up having to move to Vale for her senior year of high school. After everything she’d been through in Atlas, she decided it would be prudent to keep her semblance as secret as possible. However, some of the ghosts that realized she could see them weren’t going to let her.
