Summary
Random idea I got from this:
2000-year-old roman face cream with visible, ancient fingermarks. Preserved within a small tin canister, the cream was discovered during excavations by Pre-Construct Archaeology of a Roman temple percent on Tabard Street, Southwark in 2003. The main constituent of the cream was animal fat missed with starch and tin oxideImage if they got a clear fingerprint from that. And then just for shits and giggles, they put it into a police database or whatever. And, one day, there’s a murder, the only evidence anyone was there is a handprint, and one of the fingerprints matches the 2000-year-old one. Suddenly, they begin to find more and more unsolved murders that all have a similar trend: only one piece of evidence to tell who the murderer was, and it’s a handprint or a fingerprint of some kind, and it’s always the same person. It’s the same one that’s been happening for decades…maybe even hundreds of years.

Summary
A boy is born in the Tower of Joy as war rages on and the Targaryen dynasty is overthrown. Robert finds Lyanna at the Tower as she draws her last breath, telling him her son was his. Robert doubts that the child is his, and the doubt is only strengthened by the child’s indigo eyes. However, the child has Baratheon black hair, so he vows only to get rid of the child after he produces another heir with his new queen Cersei.
Alternatively Titled: Harry Potter grows up in Westeros, and it makes all the difference

Holy crap. This is hands down the best Alex Rider fic I have ever read. This is absolutely amazing and never let anyone tell you otherwise. This is a masterpiece of modern literature and deserves to be canon and spread to the four corners of Earth. The author has a truly exceptional grasp on the mindsets on all of the characters and their personalities. There are no errors at all. I'm reading this like it's an actual book that Anthony Horowitz wrote and it is amazing. This fanfic is easily one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

He did not look like a king. He looked like a lost soldier. But he greeted her properly, pressing a rough kiss to the back of her hand. “My lady,” he said.
“My- Your Grace,” Jaime corrected herself swiftly, and sunk into a low curtsy, but she did not look away from him. “I have been eagerly awaiting this day.”
“Have you?” he almost seemed about to laugh. There was something brittle to him, despite his obvious strength and deep voice.
“Just as much as yourself, I am sure,” she chirped, and turned to smile at her family, while her husband to be’s forced mask of courtesy was cleaved off his face.
(In which it is Jaime and Cerion, not Jaime and Cersei, and Robert Baratheon and Westeros find themselves with a different sort of queen entirely).
