Summary
It is hard to be in an unfamiliar world, not knowing where your family is or if they're even in this strange new land. That is where the Chain find themselves. In a world at war, unknowingly a few years before hope in the form of a small boy and a heavy destiny arrives. They must navigate this world to find each other and return home. Their stay in this land is longer than expected, and with no clue as to how they arrived, their way home seems even more distant. Will they be able to find each other again and return home? And what kind of impact can these nine heroes have in a world so out of balance?

Summary
Crosshair’s subdued that night without being surly. Listens more than he talks, spends more time reaching down to scratch the hound curled up by his chair than he does eating. Echo occasionally catches him exchanging looks with Omega, but she’s sitting at Echo’s side and so he cannot see what expression it is she’s sending across the table.
By the way it tends to prompt Crosshair into taking a few bites of his stew, or ripping an unnecessarily aggressive bite out of a jalba fruit, he can guess well enough.
By the way Crosshair only uses his left hand to eat and, for the most part, keeps the right in his lap or petting absently at Batcher, he can make some deeper deductions about some observations he’d made from the lookout tower.
