However, the stories and urban legends were way too rediculous to believe. But, oh, so very real.
Regardless, what truly worried Evie the most was having to remind herself constantly of Father's most important lesson:

It's been two years since everything went to Hell. The World was at war. And they've been the ones loosing. Clark is dead. J'onn is dead. Tim is dead. Constantine is dead.
Diana.
Diana is dead too.
And Bruce has to lead the defence of the American East coast from both Atlanteans and Amazons. And it's a miracle that they're still standing. But now Bruce can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Some old friends are finally free and coming back to help. And one of them, she, reminds him of better times.
Perhaps diving a bit into some memories is what he needs to find his strength back. Perhaps loneliness isn't the norm anymore.

She smiled tightly at him and stiffly beckoned him forward. If Bruce had to guess they weren’t close in the future, or perhaps she just didn’t know him. Regardless he stepped forward, though he didn’t turn to look at the figure on the bed just yet. For a moment the two simply stared at one another before Stephanie rolled her eyes at him.
“Here’s where you apologize for pushing me against the wall.” Bruce felt guilt stir at the words despite the fact that she was clearly joking.
“I’m sorry.” The girl’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, as though she didn’t think he would actually apologize. “I guess I don't say that very often in the future?” She gave him an appraising look before shaking her head.
“No you didn’t, though I guess a decade can change a man.”

Diana joins the Justice League. She isn’t particularly close to anyone there, but at least Batman is a good listener, and she can vent about how much she despises Bruce Wayne.
Why Superman always laughs whenever the topic comes up is a mystery she still hasn’t solved.
Either way, tomorrow she has to go back to work and play nice with the billionaire, after all, he’s the main sponsor of the museum she works for.at least at the end of the day she can badmouth him to Bruce
