Summary
During the day, Midoriya Izuku works a dead-end job that he was lucky to get because of his quirklessness. But during the night, he has been moonlighting as an vigilante named Mockingbird with the use of support gear from an inventor friend.
He patrols in Musutafu, somehow managing to evade Eraserhead by the skin of his teeth whenever their patrols aligned. The chase always made his blood pump and his heart race, sometimes coralling him right into awkward interactions with Detective Tsukauchi where he felt dizzy while avoiding telling any information that would hint to his identity.
It's been months of playfully flirting with the two men in a desperate effort to calm himself down, hoping they don't get close enough to arrest him, when he notices an increase in crime in a nearby prefecture. He takes to patrolling there instead of his usual routes, but the heroes located in the area don't take kindly to him. After just a week, he's locked into quirk suppressant cuffs and made to wait for his case handlers to show up to take him.
When the underground hero and lie-detector detective show up with steely expressions, alarm bells ring in his head and he feels like he's in danger.

Mako is taking forever to pick up. Maybe he got caught up at work? Wu saw a few headlines about the ongoing chaos in Republic City, and he’s been keeping up with the briefings, of course, and Mako has that persistent sense of duty—
“This is Mako,” a familiar voice finally crackles to life in Wu’s ear, professional and serious as always.
Wu let’s out a sigh of relief and immediately says, “I love you,” without really thinking about it because it’s been a month and a half and he hasn’t been able to tell Mako that.
