Summary
April 1992. For Mike and Will, the miles between Hawkins and New York have always been filled with crackling long-distance phone calls. They’ve remained close, sharing big milestones from afar: Will’s life as an art student and his new relationship; Mike’s office job and his engagement to a girl named Helen.
Now, after a year apart, Mike is flying in for a visit. They are both looking forward to the weekend, but for very different reasons. Will is excited to welcome his best friend into the life he’s fought so hard to build. Mike, however, is looking for a lifeline—an escape from a gray reality that has started to suffocate him.

Summary
Life is full of changes, and when you can't remember more than the last eight years of your life, suddenly change becomes that much more terrifying.
