Summary
Silco is ready to die, but the universe seems to have other plans for him.
Transported to the body and life of another version of himself, Silco will be haunted by the differences with his past decisions and how they shaped the lives of the people that surrounded him, his own life, and even his death.
While trying to hide who he really is, he has to navigate his relationship with his daughter, so different from the one he knew, and a newly cautiously reestablished friendship with Vander. In the end, he might need to decide if he wants to keep his original path or he is able to face the reality of where it took him.

“Isn’t it inconvenient?” Jinx responds. “Violet used to—sorry.” She cuts herself too quickly, gaze immediately skittering off. She used to be more comfortable talking about her sister. Silco must’ve gotten worse at disguising his feelings about the girl, to have Jinx looking away like that. Shifting the brush into his non-dominant hand, Silco hesitates, then brushes his fingers gently over Jinx’s upper arm.
“Continue the thought?”
“...She used to keep her hair short,” Jinx says, “because it meant she had to use less—shampoo. It was like, a super smart and practical thing she did. And, nobody could grab it, and it wouldn’t get caught on anything, and it was—it just made sense. I should do something like that. Shouldn’t I?”
Silco takes his hand back, mostly so he can look at his nails, frowning. He has a hang nail, and he picks at it while he says, “That depends if you’d prefer to continue emulating her, in this new life we’re living together.”
“Ugh.” Jinx turns away again, lips pursed. Silco obligingly continues brushing her hair. “That’s such a you answer.”

"There. I want you there. At supper." He's red, under the scruff. Silco did always like it when Vander was flustered. Now his heart flutters. Maybe this is a symptom of the newest formula of shimmer. Unruly organs. He'll have to inform Corin.
OR
Vander is trying to raise his kids. Silco is trying to build Zaun. It'd go a little quicker if they'd just get over themselves and kiss and make up.

That abstraction from earlier had haunted Pomni more than she wanted. It wasn't the horrifying amount of eyes it had but the darkness that it embodied. It was too much. And now she laid there in bed, worried that she might become the thing she feared the most.
Luckily, their dear ringmaster seemed to sense this and actually decided to come along to resolve the issue.
