Summary
This work began as an answer to the questions: what would actually prompt a Viera to leave their woods behind and venture into the wider world? Especially if they truly believe in the Green Word and everything it stands for? What is it like, to be a Viera? What is it like, to be blessed and cursed with power, chosen by Hydaelyn, forced to leave your home behind?
Join me on this deep dive into Viera lore and culture as I imagine it, and the twists and turns it takes the author on. The journey starts with Aruna, a kit just at the cusp of presenting and discovering their gender, and many stories are told to me by them and those around them. Stories of the past, stories of the present, stories of the people.

Summary
It was over. It was finally over. Not only Eorzea, not only their star, but every star in existence, even the Universe itself was safe from the Song of Oblivion, from the crushing weight of despair.
Aruna didn’t expect that weight to come crashing down on him.
Not all wounds are visible to the naked eye, and nearly losing his life at the edge of the Universe has left Aruna damaged and scarred. Now, he must find a way to move forward. Can he even be the Warrior of Light anymore?
---
This story will feature a collection of events that happened to Aruna and his family in the three years between Endwalker and Dawntrail. Not all of them are directly connected to each other.

Summary
The Word of the Green is very clear. A male's duty is to protect the Woods, and to sire children. Shamans are females who have touched the Green, their duty is to guide souls after death. But, what happens when a kit begins training as a Shaman, but then later presents as male?
This is the story of Silmundr, apprentice Shaman of Ymir, the Warder known as Nyfelwesfv.

Summary
This fic serves as a reconciliation between my portrayal of Erenville in "Viera of Sharlayan" and "Hands-On Advice", the Viera lore I've built in my series, and the (almost) canon-compliant Dawntrail lore.
Is he a 120-something Rava from Golmore Jungle, or a 45-year-old Shetona from Tural?
The answer to that question is both. How did this happen? Read to find out.
Content warning: read the tags. Most of those things happen in chapters 1 and 2. After that, it will be interesting, fun, and eventually fluffy.

Summary
Sometimes, you must dare to open up.
After that fateful day in Il Mheg, things finally started looking up for Thancred. Sadly, the respite did not last. Faced with the very real possibility of his beloved Warrior of Light dying, of Aruna becoming the most powerful Lightwarden in existence, Thancred feels desperate and alone.
Likewise, Urianger cannot bear to watch his beloved suffer. Despite all the encouragement he had received from the Viera in the days of relative peace, Urianger failed to muster up the courage to confess his true feelings to Thancred. Complicit as he was in the hero's suffering, to seek any sort of affection now would be utmost folly.
And yet, a chance presents itself. Dare he take it?

Summary
No man is an island.

Summary
Fleeing from Eulmore with the Oracle of Light in tow, a desperate Thancred finds himself on Urianger's doorstep in search of succor and safety. What he finds is comfort and companionship beyond his expectations, and an old friend who sparks new feelings.
A lot can change in three years. Thancred had never been more keenly aware of that than he was now, staring up at Urianger's well muscled biceps and his unshrouded face. But what sparked the flutter of his heart wasn't the fine physique or the feathered hair, but the warmth that awaited him in those gilded eyes. And that was going to be a lot more difficult to bury within himself and forget.

Summary
Falling in love with Thancred was easy, relatively speaking. Urianger understood love. It was different, what he felt for Thancred, than any other love he'd experienced, but it was love, plain and simple.
Falling in lust with Thancred, on the other hand... Urianger didn't know what to do with lust.

Summary
When Thancred showed up on Urianger's doorstep with the Oracle of Light in tow and half of Eulmore's forces on his tail, he did not expect a paragon of hotness to open the door. Blindsided by his old friend's new beauty, Thancred can't help but long for him - in all possible ways.
Surely it won't hurt any to indulge himself alone, right? Urianger doesn't have to know.

Summary
For more than a decade, shame has stayed Estinien's tongue when it comes to his love for Aymeric, and now he has lost his chance once and for all. Yet for the first time in his life, there is another man willing to allow Estinien to explore what he's always thought of as his deviant desires. G'raha insists there is nothing wrong with how he feels, and slowly Estinien comes to believe him. Is it possible he can be true to himself without guilt?
G'raha wants nothing more than to help Estinien overcome a lifetime of belief that his needs and wants are sinful. He's thrilled to be the one Estinien is willing to explore his desires with. But as his feelings grow, so too does his frustration at being forced to love in hiding, always rejected in public for fear of discovery. How much of Estinien's shame can he live with before it becomes his own?
Estinien knows that G'raha deserves better, but stepping out into the light seems an impossible hurdle for him. If he cannot bring himself to overcome his shame, it may yet cost him everything.

Summary
“I vowed that I would do anything if it might help you forget your heartbreak, did I not? It would be ungentlemanly of me to break that promise now.” Hildibrand leaned in closer as he spoke, close enough that the petals of his corsage brushed against Briardien’s tunic. Briardien watched one fall, spiraling, to the ground. “And so I ask you, Inspector: would this help?”
Briardien licked his lips. He cleared his throat, the sound too loud in the stillness. “There’s only one way to find out, so what are you waiting for?”
-
Hildibrand takes it upon himself to cheer Briardien up after a certain betrayal.
