It is unknown what causes a dragon to hoard a particular item. A dragon’s hoard is usually of something considered valuable or of high status, but a great variety was observed in ancient times. The most commonly-recorded hoards were gold, jewels, and beautiful humans, whom dragons would supposedly demand as sacrifices and then keep as companions.
Once a hoarding tendency is established, it is set for life.
Or: Park Moondae is a dragon.
