Summary
It was just. Too coincidental for Starscream not to be suspicious. Megatron announces his plans for an inter-faction tournament, an idea, he claims, came to him only after hearing the Construction's reports on the renovation of the Pits a few days prior. One that definitely had nothing to do with a certain argument he had with Starscream that happened the previous day.
Right. Sure.
But Starscream could overlook all of that - albeit with a healthy dose of skepticism and doubt - if it weren’t for the victor’s reward.
Or,
On a Decepticon-ruled Cybertron, Megatron decides to host faction-wide tournament with a rather heavy-stakes prize on the line. Starscream is not too keen on this idea for several reasons.

Summary
The war was over. Peace was made. Optimus and Megatron began to rebuild Cybertron. And Starscream almost went to prison...
Almost. He would have done. If it wasn't for his closest friend standing up for him, and saving his aft. And Starscream didn't know if he'd ever be able to repay Skyfire... or tell him how he truly felt.
For saving him, the two had to live together to make sure Starscream didn't act up, but it drove the seeker mad to live with the one he loved, and believed didn't love him back... but, he was very wrong.
One day, late at night, while he was stressed and depressed about his situation, Skyfire came back to Starscream to help him out with his feelings... and show him his love wasn't so unrequited after all.
