Bookmarker's Notes
Mike panicked. “Do not cry. If you cry, I cry, and then we’re those guys — the highway-crying uncles. We cannot start like that.”
Will laughed watery, fragile and nodded. “Okay. Truce.”
-
“Right,” Will said quietly. “One of those things.”He let out a soft breath through his nose and stared at the ceiling for a second. “I guess I never really had to worry about timelines. Perks of being gay, I suppose. People don’t… expect those things from you. Not in the same way.”
Mike didn’t know how to answer that. Guilt pressed, familiar and shapeless, so he cleared his throat instead.
-
Mike focused very hard on his water glass to avoid laughing.Jonathan still didn’t look up. “Some people,” he said slowly, “just know what they want. And some people don’t — so they settle for people who should honestly know better.”
Will’s smile sharpened. “Uh-huh. Some people do.”
Joyce, oblivious and thrilled, stood up. “Pie, anyone?”
“YES,” everyone said at once.

Summary
He’s stumbling through the house with unsteady feet, and as he nearly takes himself out on the upturned corner of a rug, somewhere in the back of his mind, he still has the common sense to realize that he shouldn’t have drank so much. He shouldn’t have drank so quickly. Stupidly of all, he shouldn’t have drank while the contents of his stomach boasted only the half-digested nutrients of a Twinkie and approximately four Bagel Bites.
In his crumbling defense, how was he supposed to know how strong that punch was?
-
Or, the fic where Mike gets incredibly drunk at a Halloween party and mistakes Will for his on-again off-again girlfriend, and begs to get back together.

Summary
Mike knew this day would come—the day he would realize that every choice he had made was wrong, that each one had led him to this moment. Now, there was only one option left: to accept the conformity of a quiet, ordinary life. Or maybe… not.

Summary
"He's way too young for you," Mike muttered, whipping his head away from Robin and tucking his knees up to his chin. For some reason, he thought this conversation might go a lot worse for him if he looked her in the eye. "And you took him into the woods— where he got taken, I mean, I don't even—" and he shook his head, frowning deeper. "You went against his mom's orders! Can you not even respect his parents?"
A choked noise snapped Mike back to reality. "You— what?" Robin blinked at him, her mouth hanging slack. "I respect Joyce Byers. Very much."
With Will unconscious, Mike and Robin find time for a tense chat.
