Summary
The red splotch on Eddie's adam's apple was beginning to darken to a purple hue by the time he was calm. His lips wrapped around another cigarette. They were still sat in the grass, surrounded by trees and tombstones. As Steve looked up he noticed the sun was setting, pink clouds strewn across the sky. It'd be dark soon. A notion that twisted in his gut.
"They gave you the option to leave, didn't they?"
Steve wasn't positive but the government was quick to tie up loose ends and it was definitely enforced when El left with Joyce the summer before.
"Yeah, they did."
"What kept you?"
Eddie let out a huff, smoke filling the air between them. He chewed on his bottom lip in a way that would've ignited a flame in Steve's chest if it hadn't been filled with fear.
"I didn't want to run. I made a promise to myself down there," He motioned below their feet, "and I'm keeping it."

Steve and Eddie have grown very close since they defeated Vecna but the battle topside has just begun.
Third person POV but definitely heavy on Steve's thoughts.

Summary
His clothes were tattered, even more than any metal head fashion would dictate.There were iron red stains on his shirt, but underneath flawless skin. Steve felt his brow furrow, lips flattened against his teeth as Eddie let out a dejected laugh.
“No hospital could help me, Harrington. I’m dead.”
“You mean..?”
Dustin began, the puzzle pieces sliding into place. Steve wasn’t sure what either of them were getting at.His eyes narrowed as they bounced back and fourth between the two.
“Maybe I’m missing something, but the last time I checked dead people don’t walk around or talk.”
Dustin turned to Steve, face twisted in an expression of despair, “They do when they're vampires.”
***In the party's effort to finish off Vecna for good, they stumble upon a very much not alive but not quite dead Eddie Munson. Feelings on the new development are mixed. The fun ensues.

"Admittedly, It's been a while since your truly has gotten any action so.. I'm having a hard time writing it."
This was a loophole is Steve's wiring. He wasn't going to kiss Eddie Munson because he liked him. He was just helping out a friend, for research purposes. It was enough flawed logic to propel his thoughts forward.
"I can help!"
Eddie jumped at Steve's outburst, recovering with a giggle. An actual fucking giggle.
"You know," Steve tried to control the waver in his tone, "I'd hate for your grade to suffer for something as simple as a lack of example. I'll be the Elf lady and you can be the dwarf. For, uh, the sake of research."or
Steve's plan to get Eddie out of the video store goes horribly awry.

Dean got himself in trouble again, while Sam was away at Stanford. He was infected and changing fast into something dangerous but the cute pharmacist he met on a hunt stubbornly refuses to let Dean continue to travel alone.
Sam on the other hand has his own troubles catching a ridiculously handsome drug lord who refuses to let himself get caught on tape.
