Summary
“You’re… real.”
Josh narrows his eyes.
Real.
As though the Na’vi were myth until this moment.
As though it was Josh that has invaded the dreamwalkers territory, and not the other way around.
The dreamwalker speaks again, slower.
“My name is Tyler.” He touches his own chest, then points cautiously. “You?”
Josh doesn’t answer at once.
He studies the face, the open posture, the absence of weapons. He studies the atokirina that still drift protectively around the kneeling figure like a living shield. He considers the meaningless alien name of the being in front of him.
When he speaks at last, it’s low and edged.

The thing is, for a while Josh thinks Tyler knows. How could he not?
He’d only been on hormones less than a year when they met. He thought it was obvious.

Summary
Climbs over the ropes of the boxing ring to drop on the floor, headed to the dancer who looks very, very satisfied with himself.
Doesn’t move an inch when Josh stops in front of him.
But Josh isn’t gonna have it.
No, he remains purposefully far from him, just the necessary pinch. Arms crossed on the chest, noticing for the first time the differences in size of their bodies. Tyler is certainly muscular, but he’s thin, narrow shoulders. Tall, sinuous.
The curves of his hips and waist are sinuous. His bulge.
Which leaves Josh wondering if he’s getting hard already, or is simply big of his own.
“My eyes are up here.”
This is embarrassing.
Falling right into Tyler’s trap, to find him grinning like a wolf in those too revealing clothes in that too provoking pose when Josh raises his glance to the dancer’s face.
It was involuntary.

Summary
When Death-Cast calls Josh Dun to inform him that he’s going to die today, he doesn't believe it. He’s only twenty-three and just moved to Columbus to pursue his dream of drumming in one of his favorite bands. He’s fit, he’s healthy, and he's supposed to have his entire life ahead of him.
After Death-Cast calls Tyler Joseph, however, he can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. He’s spent his entire life living on borrowed time, having been born with a severe, fatal heart condition. Most of his young adulthood has been spent in hospital rooms, churches, and his bedroom under the near-constant supervision of a hospice nurse. Getting this phone call is the motivation he needs to break out of the small quarters he’s been forced into.
When Tyler and Josh connect on an app called Last Friends, they set out to live an entire life in a single day, and forge a connection that goes far beyond friendship in the process.

Josh has a pretty simple life. He's a Licensed Vet Tech at a vet clinic in Columbus and spends his free time playing the drums and watching trashy TV. One day at work, though, his life will change forever by opening a package with no return address.
Tyler doesn't know how long it's been since he was snatched from an alleyway following his 18th birthday, but he knows it's been at least a few years. When his captor finally decides to let him go, it won't be without leaving him on death's doorstep. But that wasn't the only doorstep he ended up on.
