“Don’t be too sad without me, ‘kay?” Eddie continued before pulling out his van keys, glancing up at the sky as dark clouds rolled above them. “Woah. Where did those come from?”
Steve followed his gaze, eyebrows raising slightly as the sky darkened.
“I dunno, ask Dustin.” He nudged Eddie before unlocking the Beemer. “It’s either science or some kinda omen, is my bet.”
“Christ, don’t say that.” Eddie tore his gaze from the sky, trying to suppress the feeling of foreboding lingering under his skin. “If something happens now, it’s your fault for jinxing it.”

But he would protect her now. Even if he had to run again to do it.

In an alternate season 1, 17 year old 009!Eddie is the one to find Eleven in the woods while helping search for Will. After finding his sister he thought dead for years, he has to face everything he thought he'd escaped after running away during the massacre.
