Bucky buys a house. Between Sam and Bucky finding their new normal, they fix it up together.
Before he could second guess himself, Bucky snapped a picture with his phone and sent it to Sam.
I bought a house.
Sam responded only two minutes later. Dude, you dropped that news way too casually.
Another minute. Looks nice.
Bucky held his breath, watching the bubbles appear and disappear.
You need some help?
Bucky was surprised how easy it was to text back: Yeah, wouldn’t mind some. He almost thought his therapist would be proud. -

Zoro tenses, eye subconsciously closing, ready to take the blunt force of the attack and live through it, because he has to get up and see the end of Luffy’s battle for himself. Be there before his idiot captain does something stupid and— and Zoro too can be selfish and stubborn, and if that means dragging him out of brink of death himself, then-

Karli crosses her arms again. “Oh yeah? What’s more urgent than the Power Broker? And I swear, if you tell me it’s classified—”
“Bringing our best friends back home,” says Bucky.
“Your best—” Karli’s eyes go wide. “What, OG Captain America and…?”
“Natasha,” finishes Sam. “The Black Widow.”
“I thought they were dead,” she says. Her face scrunches up into a dubious expression. “Don’t tell me the tabloids are actually right and Steve Rogers has been on the moon.”
“Not on the moon, no, but they are in outer space, and they probably need an extraction from a sticky situation, or a ride back home,” says Sam. “So we’re taking a little space road trip to go pick ‘em up.”
On a space road trip to bring Steve and Natasha back home, Sam, Bucky, and Karli start to figure out just what kind of superheroes they want to be, and Sam and Bucky figure out what kind of life they want to build with a family that includes Steve and Natasha again.
