“Rumi is the first of her kind,” Celine responded, shooing Mira away from her desk. “Even the most seasoned hunter isn't going to know what to do with her.”
“Okay, soooo what does that mean?” Zoey asked, looking between them, confused.
“It means,” Celine responded, striding over to Zoey before putting her hand on her shoulder. “That we are basically doing fieldwork on what happens when a demon hybrid discovers themselves.”
“Ewww, please don't say it like that,” Rumi groaned, embarrassed. “You're making it sound like I'm going through heat or something.”
“Don't count your chickens on that just yet,” Celine responded, pointing at her. “That could also be a part of this too.”
OR
Rumi starts her first demon heat, which subsequently causes her to fully transform. Can Zoey and Mira stop her from fucking them senseless? Or will the horniness of the whole situation win them over?
Unintentional crack to the highest degree.

"Do you have any idea what it's like watching you drift further and further from us? Watching you turn yourself into something unrecognizable? Because I do. I've seen demons cling to human faces like masks. I've watched them mimic grief. Fear. Kindness."
"Mira." Zoey warns.
"And lately? When I look at you? I don't see the girl we grew up with and love."
Rumi's hands begin to shake. "...what do you see?" she whispers.
"A demon. I don't trust you. Not with me, not with Zoey, not with yourself. You're no different than any other demon we've come across. No different than Gwi-Ma."
There is a shocked silence.
Rumi face crumples, it reminds them of the way she begged just a few weeks ago. Begged them not to leave her. To love her. Things had been so good, she was selfish to think she could have this. To want this.
Her tone is flat and resigned. "Oh."-------
or Rumi tries to hide her full demon traits after the idol awards to protect Zoey and Mira from her, and out of fear that their new fragile relationship will break under the reveal. Mira lashes out in the worst way possible after she catches Rumi in yet another lie, and angst ensues.

“I went to her.” Rumi doesn’t say how she got to Celine, that the world opened up beneath her and did her bidding, for once, and it felt good.
“I got down on my knees.” She doesn’t say that the dirt was cold, that the touch of it surprised her.
“I offered her my weapon.” She doesn’t say that her weapon was warm in her hands, almost gentle. Comforting laid across her palms.
“Rumi, stop,” Zoey begs. “Please, Mira.” Her voice is thick with tears through full-body, shuddering sobs.
“No, Zoey.” Mira’s voice shakes. With fury or terror or sheer emotion, Rumi doesn’t know. “Let her say it,” Mira cuts in.
“I asked her to do what she should’ve done a long time ago.” She exhales, just a little. She knows the full truth of it, what they are asking for. She just has to say it.
Not just that she asked Celine. Not just that she cried.
That Rumi yearned for it.
