Summary
Malachai Rodgers is a normal teenage boy who goes through normal teenage problems... at least that's what he wishes he could say. Far from easy, his life has been turned upside down after the death of his uncle in a car accident, leaving only his mother as his last living relative, or rather; the last one who chose to stay in his life. After everything life had thrown at him, he was sure that nothing could phase him anymore... that is until he lands a job at Polmart. An old, dusty grocery store with little to no records about its founding, which also has an odd knack of attracting strange, creepy, and sometimes downright violent customers. Tensions among humans and Fae have been increasing, as attacks along the boarders show that perhaps their two people cannot coexist peacefully.
Ivy, the daughter of High Lord Tamlin and Lady Alba of the Spring Court, loves her people dearly. She will do whatever is needed to help her family, her people, and the Spring Court thrive.
Nyx, the Prince of the Night Court, is content commanding his legion in Illyria. His father and mother are now asking him to step more fully into his role as heir.
This is a story about politics, love, loss, and what two Fae who love their people will do in order to see them thrive.

Tamlin never truly addressed the trauma and memories that have followed him since the aftermath of being Under the Mountain and fighting against King Hybern. With each passing day he slowly isolates himself from his servants, council, and responsibilities, believing he doesn't deserve their trust, loyalty, and forgiveness. Or so Tamlin thinks.
Then comes along Lilith, a mortal healer, found trespassing into the Spring Court, claiming to search for a medicinal flower and nothing else. When Tamlin extends shelter to Lilith, she agrees, realizing the Fae lands are far more dangerous than she anticipated. Lilith, while navigating through the Spring Court and Fae customs, realizes her own shifting perceptions and uses them to gain favor in the Court.
The pair, distrustful and wary of each other at first, learn from one another. Gaining a new insight into how their pasts have shaped their identities and relishing the changes marking their future. A future where forgiveness, love, compassion, and healing will never end.
