Summary
“Hey,” Robin lifted her eyes to see Nancy also crouching down, helping to scoop up tapes, a mere few inches away from Robin. She spoke in a low voice. “If you’re nervous about…you know, doing anything on Friday, you don’t have to. No one is going to make you.”
And Nancy had said that with so much sincerity in her voice that Robin almost melted on the spot, dropping one of the tapes in her arms before furiously rushing to pick it back up.
“I mean, uh– yeah of course. Uh–Roger that. Gotcha, no problemo. Very cool.” she nodded, standing back up and placing the tapes back on the counter. Nancy stood up as well, handing the tapes over to Robin who seemed to be glued to her spot.

Robin sat by the lake and watched the waves lap onto the shore. It was strange to think that not even three months ago she had nearly died here- all of them had nearly died here. Some at the bottom, some at the top, and some even more at the bottom. She shuddered as she recalled the first time she went to the “upside down” and shook her head, as if she could somehow shake the thought loose. It didn’t work, it never did.
Something paranormal is happening again in Hawkins, but this time there doesn't seem to be an explanation.

Robin’s voice and the sound of a lunch tray slapping down on the table next to her startled Nancy out of whatever trauma-induced fugue state Tommy and Carol’s exhibitionism had locked her into. She felt herself blushing. She turned her attention to her own tuna sandwich and carrot sticks.
