Summary
Once upon a time there was a king who had lost his queen. The kingdom mourned the loss but none felt it as keenly as the king himself. Then one day, many years later, word reached the castle that the queen was being held captive in another land. At once, king Morpheus set off on a quest to save her, bringing only his trusted first knight Sir Robert Gadling and manservant Mathew with him.
In this fairy tale, however, things are not as straight forward as they might seem. Before queen Calliope left the castle, the death of their son had driven a wedge between king and queen. Now, some believe that the king’s affections may lay elsewhere, namely with his first knight. If that is indeed the case then it is not entirely uncomplicated because Hob does not know the king’s secret – that he isn’t exactly human.

Light decides to trust L when he admits that he too suspects himself of being Kira and asks L for help in preventing him from becoming Kira again. L agrees, mostly because he thinks this is part of the game the two of them are playing. A game that is getting more and more complicated by the minute since chaining himself to Light has forced L to face the fact that he is attracted to his main suspect. And maybe his feelings run deeper still… With L and Light closing in on the person acting as Kira at Yotsuba will Light's admission change anything? Or are they destined to once again become enemies?
