It wasn't what they were expecting, especially not seeing this other side of Katsuki and meeting someone that can either be literal sunshine or a ball of sarcastic dark humor.

“We can’t do that,” Eraserhead says gently, looking Izuku up and down. Izuku’s stomach clenches. He’ll see Izuku’s eyes, the skin on his arms, and he’ll go away, like all the others.
Izuku has an animal mutation quirk that leaves him alone and shunned by most of society. Found half-frozen outside in the winter by Eraserhead and Present Mic, Izuku now has to learn how to open up and to trust.
