Babe was flabbergasted. He stared at Charlie with a confused look.
“You think you can’t do it?”
Charlie rubbed his nose against Babe’s, making him jump back. Charlie smiled warmly, making Babe’s heart flutter.
“Cat got your tongue?”
“Charlie, are you being serious right now?” Babe asked, not believing his ears.
“Why would I joke about something this important? I’m totally serious. Also, if you’re doubting your skills, I can already tell you that…”
Charlie leaned closer, letting his lips brush Babe’s ear.
