Simon wondered why he’d trusted Soap so readily. As he stared at himself in the mirror of the very last shower stall, finally maskless and shirtless, he had to admit he didn’t really know. At first, he’d been flat annoyed by Johnny’s presence, but then… it was hard to say. Something earnest had burst from the man, something real and honest had oozed through the snarky brogue.
