Over and over Blake has betrayed everyone close to her. Maybe the fourth try will be the charm.
Yang wants nothing more than to protect her family. Maybe if she tries hard enough no more of them will disappear.
Summer was trying to save her sister from Salem. Raven was trying to save Summer. Both of them failed, and all that remains of Summer Rose and the Summer Maiden is a scattering of white petals.

Summary
Heroes exist to protect the future.
That's what I heard all my life. But they never talk about those left behind, the ones that have to suffer as their loved ones sacrifice themselves. Their sacrifices are expected… but I reject this notion. I would forge a new way, one without needless death.
Years I spent searching for it. The secrets of aura, Faunus biology, even the sacred powers in those with silver eyes. None of them gave me what I needed, until I had an epiphany. If none of them could help me, maybe I could use all of them to create a hero unlike anything Remnant had ever seen, strong enough to stand against the darkness of this broken world.
And so I created the first Halo Faunus: Ruby Rose.
She was everything I hoped for and more. A prodigy born from team STRQ that would have the strength to protect this world and be a shining beacon for those without hope.
I had found the answer, and Remnant would finally be free of death and despair.

Summary
Weiss Schnee was a high-ranking celestial being with a flawless record… until someone decided she needed to "work on her interpersonal skills" and banished her to Remnant as a guardian angel. Now she’s stuck in a mortal body, her powers respond to feelings (horrifying), and her charge is a reckless girl with a smile like sunlight and no concept of self-preservation.
Also her wings keep popping out in a dramatic display every time she gets flustered.
She's fine. Totally fine.
