Summary
Sonic went from one prison (of metal and cruel tauntings, of an enemy who knows him better than anyone) to another (saved, only to find himself in a cell of concern and a lack of trust by those he calls friends), and no one seems to understand why he can't breathe.
It takes him two weeks.
Then he snaps.
(Or: Sonic the Hedgehog has been held captive for six months. Thing is, he refuses to stay on the sidelines in a war that started with his supposed death.
It's a shame no one quite realized that 'hero' wasn't just a thing the masses called him.)

You should give that a try, Lance.” the stranger said, a smile on his lips directed at the black hedgehog.
“And why should I believe a word you say?” Lancelot questioned, tone daring.
Once again, the blue hedgehog merely looked intrigued.
“Because, Lance, being a knight would mean you can lawfully land an attack on me without being accused of treason. After all, you have been refraining from punching me at numerous points in time for such a short duration of our meeting.
A tempting offer, is it not?” the stranger almost drawled mischievously, a taunting smile on his lips.
‘Treason’? Who does this guy think he is?

But he cannot leave them; what kind of hedgehog would he be if he left the kingdom to fend for itself? Now he just had to figure out exactly what he's supposed to be doing...

… as the Phantom Rider. No one other than the commander knows who’s underneath the helmet. Not even Team Dark— who Sonic is assigned to work with on this case— knows.
As they solve the mission together, can Team Dark figure out who they’re working with? Can Sonic keep his identity hidden?
Can Sonic finally face his problems head on?
