The client hadn’t really requested anything at all; their emails had been almost overly polite, if not jarringly formal, and had selected only the most vanilla options on the questionnaire she provided. Certainly a far cry from the standard practices of her usual clientele, but this one had paid upfront and picked this expensive hotel, and Mira’s fees are dear enough on their own that she had been coloured intrigued.
Mira takes a left down the hallway after leaving the elevator and finds herself at the door to the room. She doesn’t steel herself—doesn’t need to. She can handle anything. Has handled most things. Mira swipes the keycard and lets herself in.
The person sitting on the bed is probably the last thing she expects.
In which Mira is a professional, Rumi is socially inept, and Zoey is also there. Let's hope nobody catches feelings.

Summary
Rumi is the worst kind of self sufficient. The kind that's wholy and truly dedicated to never letting her needs get in the way of anybody, even her doting pack who love to be there for her.
Upon entering preheat on a day where alpha's Mira and Zoey have particularly packed schedules, Rumi figures there's no harm in braving her preheat on her own! She can manage, she'll be fine, they can go and she'll handle herself till they get back!
Surely she has time to prepare before her heat actually sets in.
Ah, poor Rumi. The omega who refuses to be pampered, stuck in a tiger trap of her own making.
Hopefully she doesn't lose her mind before her Alpha's make it back home.

For once in her life, Rumi wants to be selfish.
Or: HUNTR/X works towards sealing the Honmoon and falls in love along the way. Pre-reveal Rumi, hiding both her patterns and her wants, loves her girls in whatever way she can until she's free (whether that means shielding Mira and Zoey in fights or pretending to be something she's not). She just has to hold out until the Honmoon’s golden. Straightforward enough, right?
