    Summary

Katara was the only one he’d actually played with regularly. Not on calls. Not in scrims. Just solo queue—random matchmaking, late nights, quiet games where she never typed more than a “gj” or “mb” in chat. He liked playing with her more than he could explain. There was something steady about her presence in-game, like she always knew exactly when to show up even if she never said a word.

He’d never met her in person but he felt like he already knew her.

    Summary

"Katara!" He beamed, then quickly took one of the pans off the fire before turning to her completely. "It was really late, I didn't want to wake you. Besides, those pillows are surprisingly comfortable."

Katara stepped closer, taking the knife out of Aang's hand and placing it on the counter before wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down for a kiss. A kiss he eagerly returned.

"You still woke me," she murmured against his lips, "but I don't really mind."

Katara wakes up to an unexpected visitor in her apartment.

    Summary

Love does not make grief lighter. It only teaches you whose hands are there to help carry it.

In the years after the war, Aang and Katara build a life out of everything they have survived: lost cultures, unfinished traditions, found family, and the quiet, stubborn work of choosing each other again and again.

From the weight of being the last Air Nomad to the frightening tenderness of becoming parents, this series follows the people, memories, and pieces of history they carry into the future.

Set after Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (2026). Spoilers ahead.

    Summary

Aang is sixteen when Katara looks up from a half-built wall and cannot make the boy she has known for four years fit the young man in front of her.

What follows takes nearly three years: a winter of letters and rooms that learn to feel empty, a grandmother who puts a pouch of dried leaves on the floor between them, a stable at the South Pole where two people try to work out how to grow up without the ones who should have shown them, and the slow business of finding words for something their bodies reached first.

Set in the early Republic City years, before Air Temple Island and before the wedding. A prequel to The Ones We Carry.
