Summary
In the aftermath of the averted war with Heaven, Alastor and Lucifer both have to adapt to the new normal. Alastor has his freedom but no idea what to do with it! Lilith is back and Lucifer finally has his closure: he's divorced. Yay?
The one constant for both of them is each other. They must face revelations about just what their rivalry means to them... and the desires that it inflames.

Lucifer is tired. Tired in the way only a millennia-old king of Hell can be—bone-deep, paperwork-poisoned, soul-weary tired. His only real source of joy these days? Touching soft things. Flower petals, feathers, and most recently, the occasional chance encounter with KeeKee—when the demon cat deigns to allow it.
So when he spotted the cat perched on the back of an armchair one evening, Lucifer half-mindedly reached out to stroke her… only for static to rise thick and sharp around him.
