Summary
To think that all your questions could be answered with a crown.
Though it may not rest on two brows.
But what's the cost of such an alluring pact?
What must one give to preform such powerful acts?
To be stripped to bone
and lose one's home
Is it all worth it, after the fact?Narinder and The Lamb failed to reconcile these questions with each other, and are now cursed with mortality for their hubris. Now, they must find a way to live in a world where they no longer have the power to shape it. Now, they must learn what it truly means to become a god, should they wish to regain their lost power.

Summary
"My followers were yours, and you've had more before that. You know how to lead, and we're the only two that could do it indefinitely. I've already been benefiting from your guidance up until this point, and I still could."
The flock just keeps growing. I can care for it on a large scale, but it's more feasible to stay on top of things on a more, I guess… relational level if there's more than just one person at the head," they explain with a nod, seeming satisfied with themself. And oddly, it's their forthright manner here that's throwing him off guard, more than anything.
Through the crown, he had listened in on their sermons. They were a talented preacher, sometimes fearsome and sometimes loving, always grandiose. He'd drunk deep of the devotion their fervor inspired, and of their own fidelity to the gospel in their hand, penned carefully in his name. Their own worship.
And now, they spoke to him as if they were haggling with one of the vendors on the outskirts. Like that poorly disguised cannibal who sold them fish.
"So, I think it'd be a logical course of action if we just get married, and lead together," they finish, nodding again.-
Every time the Lamb proposes, ect.

Summary
“…I enjoy fish,” Narinder mutters, quiet enough that he hopes the Lamb doesn’t hear. But their ear perks up, stars in their eyes as they quickly look at him, grabbing him by the arms instinctively. Narinder’s fur stands on end.
“Fish! Fish I can do! I’m not amazing at fishing, but I can bring you some fish back. Could take a trip to Anchordeep, maybe, once the door’s open again,” they ramble on, oblivious to the way Narinder’s tail flicks behind his back. For someone with mind reading, they’re rather terrible at reading people.
Or, five times the Lamb initiates contact with Narinder, and one time Narinder initiates contact with them.
