Summary
Minoru had never known pain like this. Curse Camouflage, curse heroics and curse everything that had led him to this exact moment. Gremlin (yes, that was really his name, no Minoru was not joking, he'd asked) gave another raucous laugh. Despite the name, he looked perfectly well-groomed and reeked of new money. Some classy upstart fancying himself a little rebellion before he got married off to a CEO's daughter with gigantic assets then.
God, when were these problems going to become Minoru's problems? Because he was begging for it. Give him a rich, expectant millionaire father and a gorgeous potential equally rich wife over getting his toenails pulled and taking the fall for these operations any day.
Either way, he'd clearly chosen the wrong path in life, because while his classmates were out there living it up on the streets, probably getting smooched by hot, adoring fans, he was here in the biting cold of some slimy underground dungeon, strapped to an icy chair, getting his pain levels redefined by a weirdly enthusiastic oxymoron. Emphasis on the moron.
Minoru sighed. He guessed this was penance.
Or: The one where Mineta Minoru gets dragged by the toenails into a character development arc.

“It’s not a quirk,” Izuku tells the poor sod, who looks like he needs to catch up on four years of sleep and has been combating that fact with caffeine pills and spite alone. “It’s breathing. I’m literally just breathing. Do you want me to stop breathing?” he demands. When Eraserhead glares at him like he’s murdered someone (which he has, technically, but what is someone, really), Izuku sniffs righteously and says, “Stop glaring at me!”
Eraserhead takes a deep breath.
“Breathing, yes, like that,” Izuku says eagerly. “Want to see me do it too?”
“No,” says Eraserhead.
Midoriya Izuku's family tree may or may not include one Kamado Tanjirou.

Sakura dies on October 10th with green eyes that slowly lose their shine and bright pink hair that turns dark with blood. Then Sakura is born on January 12th with dark blue eyes that get lighter and lighter and red hair so dark it looks black more often than not.
She doesn't know it immediately, but she's a child reborn and time is reborn with her. It's time for a change, and Sakura will do all she can to bring it - for one reason or another. She's a woman reborn, and she's already died once before. What more does she have to fear?

This is one of the best ones right up there with Kill Your Heroes in terms of Sakura-centric fics. Not too sure about the ending, I feel it could have led to more but it's a happy ending! She gets married and everything. Also, her part in the war is so well done and I spent so long reading this with so much respect.

In my first read this didn't make much sense. On my second read, everything is so much clearer. A lot to be said about how we authors make our beloved characters suffer, and if these characters were to truly exist, they'd be rightfully pissed off at us for making them suffer for entertainment. And that life is chaotic and trying to be perfect does no one any good. It's a favorable outcome but at the cost of losing yourself as you exist. That's a choice we get to make
