The open road calls!
Jecka, Megan, and Karen are on the Lake Braddock trivia team, and when they manage to beat the local competition, all seems well. That is, of course, until they learn they now qualify for the nationals! With the school refusing to provide transport, the girls have no choice but to carpool together (in Emily's mom's old beat up 8 seater,) and make the drive themselves.
Jecka, Emily, Megan, Nicole, Karen, Kelly, and... is that someone in the trunk?
Seven girls on a road trip across the country. What could possibly go wr- okay, yeah, not even gonna finish that last sentance.

Summary
Nicole doesn't like people, and yet, for some reason she finds, that in this very specific context this Christmas, she can tolerate Karen. Yeah, tolerate is a good word for it.
Then she finds she can tolerate her for the next Christmas. And then the next. Or... wait, was that actually last Christmas?
AKA: A trilogy(plus epilogue!(prologue?)) of short stories involving Karecole, that is notably told backwards.

Jecka was still hard at work on her own cigarette, squeezing it tightly between her lips as she gritted her teeth. “Would you stop saying that?”
“Why?” Nicole asked as she turned to look up at the freshly painted night sky above, the dying embers of orange slipping over the horizon as the dark blue overpowered them, the gray clouds blending seamlessly into the indigo.
“Because…” Jecka muttered as she turned to shift her full glance towards Nicole. Into those eyes that usually appeared as sparkling sapphires. “Whenever you say that, it doesn’t sound like you’re joking.
Nicole paused for a moment, before tearing her eyes off of the darkened sky above and down into the amber pools staring back at her. “Yeah,” she eventually said. “It’s because I’m not.”

Summary
Nicole has spent her whole life moving from school to school, never staying in one place long enough to build a steady reputation. However, when she receives a letter inviting her to the Lake Braddock ultimate program, everything begins to look hopeful.
Nicole isn't one to let herself hope, but maybe now things will be different.
For once she is finally willing to let herself look to the future, only to find herself trapped in the building with a psychotic talking teddy bear announcing a killing game with thirteen other students.

Summary
The year is 1911, and the west is dead. Jecka Valentine, under the coercion of the Pinkerton Detective Agency, must hunt down her former gang leader, Emily, in exchange for both a pardon for her own past crimes, and to lead the agents away from Nicole. At the same time, Nicole has been tracking Jecka for years, never finding the courage to finally confront the one she knows is responsible for the near death experience and break up of their past gang. That changes one evening on a snowy mountain.

Little did she realize just how messed up some of these girls could be. Or how messed up the school staff treat them.

“You were driving, ‘cause you know I don’t have my license, but you had had like, half a bottle of tequila or something, and you–” Nicole swallows. “You crashed into Ari. You died, and I swear it felt so real. There was a funeral and everything.”
Jecka breathes slowly out her mouth, slumping her body forward. “Thats, uh…”
“Fucked up, I know. But I swear to you Jecka, it felt so real. I really fuckin’ thought you died, and I just-” She splays her hands out. “I don’t think I was even this sad when my dad died. And it wasn’t even real!” She laughs wetly.
OR:
Jecka dies in a car accident, and Nicole suffers with the survivor's guilt. A week after the funeral, she wakes up again on the morning of the night Jecka died- but she's not dead anymore.
