Course, that damn dumbass energy prevents him, but with friends, family, and something in between, he might find what he needs.

Summary
For all his life, Harry Potter knew he wasn't normal. Ma and Pa never tried to hide that fact from him, or even shy away from it. They knew he was different, unable to use a wand like them, a strength that rivaled giants with an endurance unmatched, and a mind that absorbed everything like a flower absorbed sunlight. He knew he wasn't normal, just as he wasn't their natural born son.
But he was their son, and they were his Ma and Pa. So after Pa passed, he left to wander the world and find himself. That his walkabout brought him to England and Godric's Hollow, where he was found on Potter's Field, wrapped up in a red blanket and a book of unintelligible runes, was fortunate, and he found himself finally invited to attend the same school his parents did: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.

In any universe, Peter Parker is a hero; it doesn't matter if he has powers or not, that's just who he is.
But when 80% of the world has powers and he doesn't, what does it take for him to become a hero? Especially after everyone who looks after him, who loves him, leaves him?
Peter Parker desperately wishes to become a pro-hero, and no one is going to stop him. No matter the threats to his life, or the warnings of the dangers. He's smart enough and, damn it, dumb enough to try in spite of what could happen. Like a random villain attack who recently broke into an Oscorp facility and brought with them a tiny spider.
A single bite and everything will change. Peter's greatest wish will come true, but all wishes are made on monkey paws.

Summary
Michelle didn’t bother to hide her smile as she walked to Betty’s house with Peter Parker, her… Well, she hadn’t decided what exactly he was, despite spending quite a bit of time with her, and a lot of that time tended to be sexual. That didn’t mean she only wanted that; in fact, she found herself enjoying just being around the damn loser even when they were done with whatever game she or, recently, he started. Or before. Or if they didn’t even play at all.
At the moment, they were simply walking along a sidewalk just on the edge of campus. Peter was talking excitedly about some new nerdy game involving the same franchise as Captain Gwen (and his opinion was flawed because they both knew that on the whole the franchise was weak and sloppy with its lore; he needed to find an interest that at least treated its non-lead female characters better).

It’s not that she dislikes Peter Parker or Spider-Man. In fact, back in her high school days in Queens, she rather admired the guy. Especially when she found out he was just a kid her age. She might have even had a little crush on him when he was outed as Spidey, and his silly school picture was broadcast to the whole world.
But he had continued superhero-ing and she had worked on her craft. And the fact that he could just barge in here with his name alone rubbed her the wrong way. Like an athlete who thought he could star in a movie because how hard could it be, right?
