The door burst open. At first, Harry could only make out two red slits piercing through the darkness and a long black cloak floating behind a tall silhouette. Then the figure stepped forwards, and Voldemort appeared in the moonlight reflected through the windows.
Fear suddenly gripped Harry. This was dangerous. Voldemort’s chalk-grey, scaled skin should have repulsed him, yet those eyes seemed to draw Harry in, pulling him dangerously close to the monster.
Voldemort gave him a cruel, knowing smile.
